CoSMoS 2012, September 10-12, Providence, RI
Registration will open in February 2012.
Since 2003 a group of scientists and practitioners has gathered each year with the purpose of exchanging information in an effort to advance our interests in small molecule analysis. The underlying charter for these meetings has not changed. CoSMoS is entirely volunteer-driven with all of us sharing the cost. Each of us has chosen to work in a scientific discipline or related area for many of the same reasons, regardless of where we are employed. Each person approaches an analytical problem as an opportunity to solve an intriguing puzzle and in that process becomes an expert having acquired knowledge others will appreciate.
CoSMoS is a forum to encourage and facilitate that exchange. We specifically limit the number of speakers in a session as well as the total number of attendees to encourage an equal opportunity exchange for every attendee.
Every year you will find many of the same elements that have made CoSMoS a success with your peers over the past 8 years and a few novel elements as we continually strive to improve our event. In 2010 we had our first joint or parallel occurrence with the SMASH NMR group – especially fitting since NMR is one of the key analytical interests at CoSMoS. We will rejoin them in 2012 in Providence RI.
As always if you are interested in finding ways to improve your analytical abilities, to better understand how to apply proven methods by participating in discussions with leading practitioners, CoSMoS is for you.
